Glossary

Diversity: refers to the acceptance of a broad range of groups of people, regardless of their gender, age, social class, ethnic origin, education level, religion, ideology, or physical and psychological attributes.

 

Diversity management: refers to the management style of a company (or HR department) that highlights the social and personnel-related benefits of a diverse workforce and makes decisions based on this approach.

 

Inclusion: is a societal approach in which all members of a society are equally valued and included, regardless of any disability or limitation.

 

Unconscious bias: refers to preconceptions we hold but are unaware of. They stem from our upbringing and can result in unconscious discrimination against certain groups of people.

 

LGBT+: refers to the community of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender individuals and the queer population.
