BIU expands gamescom & Public Events team

• Martin Freese became Manager of gamescom & Public Events at the BIU on 1 January
 
Berlin, 16 January 2017 – Martin Freese assumed the new position of Manager gamescom & Public Events at the BIU, the German Games Industry Association, on 1 January. In this capacity, he will henceforth assist the Head of gamescom & Public Events, Lars Vormann. Freese will work with Vormann on the strategic further development and realisation of gamescom, the world’s biggest computer and video games event. His new remit also includes the ongoing development and realisation of other events such as the German Computer Games Awards. In creating this position, the BIU is increasing its capacities in the areas of trade fairs and events.

About Martin Freese

On completing his apprenticeship as an event manager with Messe Husum & Congress, Martin worked as a trade fair and events project manager in the areas of renewable energies and gaming. For two years, he was responsible for New Energy Husum and for the Nordish Gaming Convention (NGC), Northern Germany’s largest LAN party.
