Berlin, 21 February 2017 – The BIU, the German Games Industry Association, has introduced its first guide to Germany as a games location. The 48-page English-language publication A Guide to the German Games Industry provides a comprehensive overview of, and promotes investment in, Germany as a games location. It includes data on the German gaming market, e-sports clubs, game developers and other actors in the games industry, as well as on gamescom and the offerings of training institutes and experts. The target audience is made up of, among others, international investors and games companies planning to open or expand subsidiaries in Germany. The publication also gives German games companies an international stage. Guest contributions from Adrian Goersch (Black Forest Games), Benedikt Grindel (Ubisoft Blue Byte), Hendrik Klindworth (InnoGames) and Jan Theysen (KING Art) provide a comprehensive overview of the development of gaming in Germany. The guide will be distributed for the first time at Game Connection America (27 February–1 March in San Francisco) and PAX East (10–12 March in Boston). It was compiled in cooperation with Computec Media.

‘With our new guide, we are actively promoting Germany as a games location and offering interested companies and investors a good overview of the German games industry,’ says BIU Managing Director Felix Falk.
