23.04.2019 Christian Baur is new Head of gamescom & Events Christian Baur (game) Berlin, 23 April 2019 – As of 15 April, Christian Baur is the new Head of gamescom & Events at game – the German Games Industry Association. In this capacity, he is responsible for the association’s ongoing development of gamescom, the world’s biggest event for computer and video games. He will also handle the association’s other events such as the summer party and the gala event for the German Computer Games Awards – which are jointly sponsored by game and the German federal government. Christian Baur can look back on a long career as a marketing specialist in the games industry. He has previously worked for games companies such as Gameforge and Aeria Games. Baur most recently served as Marketing Director at Smilegate’s Berlin office. He follows in the footsteps of Lars Vormann, who left game at the end of February. ‘We are delighted to have Christian Baur as our new Head of gamescom & Events. He can contribute a wealth of expertise in the games industry from his years as a marketing expert and brand manager. He is therefore the perfect fit for what we need.
