RetroBrain R&D is a young company that has developed the memoreBox, an innovative game console with digital health training, especially targeted at seniors. The focus of the game console is on its preventive-therapeutic benefit in combination with fun and enjoyment. The various game modules can be operated intuitively and without a controller. They are controlled by gestures and body movements and thus train the physical and mental health of the players. All game modules are also designed in such a way that they can be easily played by people with disabilities. The company was founded in 2014 as a start-up based on university structures. Today, memore is certified as a Class I medical device, has been successfully transferred to standard care in 2021 following large-scale scientific evaluations, and can be found in over 200 care facilities.
