Opinion on the public consultation by the Federal Ministry of Justice on the implementation of the DSM directive on copyright

game – the German Games Industry Association has published its opinion on the public consultation by the Federal Ministry of Justice on the implementation of the DSM directive on copyright. We appriciate a quick implementation of the directive into German law. We advocate for a one-to-one implementation without national solo attempts and in particular without further burdens in copyright contract law. A weakening of the exclusive rights of publishers and developers could destroy the efforts of the Federal Government to strengthen Germany as a games location.
