Six Foot Europe becomes BIU member

Berlin, 6 June 2017 – Half way through the year, the BIU, the German Games Industry Association, is welcoming its 28th member: Six Foot Europe GmbH joined the association that represents the German games industry on 1 June. Six Foot’s Berlin office manages the company’s European business, focusing on the publishing of computer and video games. The first release for the publisher brand Grey Box was Grey Goo in 2015. This year, RiME and Dreadnought are scheduled to be published, with the latter currently being developed by the Berlin-based games developer and BIU member Yager. The Managing Director of Six Foot Europe, Markus Windelen, has been a member of the BIU.Dev developer network since April 2016, with Six Foot Europe GmbH subsequently joining the association as a company in July 2016.

‘As a member of BIU.Dev, Markus Windelen together with his team were already playing an active part in the association’s work, participating, for example, in our Pitch & Match event at gamescom 2016 and contributing key aspects to the discussion of Germany as a place of business. With the company as a BIU member, we can further intensify this cooperation in the challenges still to come,’ says Felix Falk, Managing Director of the BIU.

‘We wholeheartedly back the overarching objective of the BIU to further increase the acceptance and support of computer and video games in the worlds of politics, business and society, and this is why we have joined the association. We were able to gain a positive impression of the work of the BIU thanks to our involvement in BIU.Dev and through our partner Yager, so making the decision to assume more responsibility and increase our commitment was easy for us,’ says Markus Windelen, Managing Director of Six Foot Europe.
