Any company with headquarters in Germany is eligible for associate membership if a significant percentage of the company’s turnover is generated by goods and/or services in the games industry. Typical examples include graphics studios, music studios, animation studios; game platforms; universities, educational institutions, research institutes; producers of technical software components and comprehensive solutions that can be used as the basis for computer and/or video games, e.g. middleware; server providers; providers of online technologies; consultants, such as lawyers or corporate consultants; and investors and providers of finance. This is determined on the basis of annual sales worldwide.
