Berlin, 29 March 2017 – For gamescom 2017, the BIU, the German Games Industry Association, has overhauled the concept for its joint booth in the business area. This year, the BIU unites both of its previous stand concepts, the BIU joint booth and the BIU.Net & Friends Area, in a single booth to be located in the business area. Games companies of any size can participate in it – those from the BIU, BIU.Dev and BIU.Net, along with all other actors in the German games industry who aren’t yet association members.

In participating in the booth, companies can choose between various attractive service packages and extras, depending on their individual needs and budget. In addition to services like catering, the use of Wi-Fi, lockers and standing tables for meetings, they can book other fee-based options such as exclusive meeting tables in the lounge area, private conference rooms and exhibitor passes. Companies can also book meeting rooms equipped with LED TVs or displaying their company logo and product brandings. The new BIU joint booth will be open from 22 to 24 August. This year, for the first time, it will be located with the joint stands of the German federal states and GAME in the German area, hall 3.2.

‘Our BIU & Friends Business Booth is an additional offering for games companies that would like to take part in gamescom, and that aren’t yet participants in any country stand or haven’t yet found a suitable option for themselves,’ explains BIU Managing Director Felix Falk. ‘With this booth, our association seeks to give all companies the opportunity to present themselves on Europe’s most important business platform, make business contacts and strengthen existing relationships.’
