Aerosoft is one of the leading publishers of deep simulation games with 40 inhouse staff and long standing connections to many freelance developers and studios. The company also sells periphery products for simulation fans. Aerosoft GmbH was founded in 1991 at the airport Paderborn / Lippstadt in Germany. They started out developing add-ons and periphery products for Microsoft Flight Simulator as well as training software for flight students. Since 2002 the company became more and more a full-fledged publishing company and branched out into other simulation genres.


Airborn Studios - Ori and the Blind Forest

Airborn Studios is a Berlin-based company focused on the development and production of 2D and 3D art. Its founders have been working in the entertainment industry for over 15 years and tap into a network of international artists. Airborn has contributed to projects such as Blizzard’s Overwatch, Epic Games’ Fortnite, Activision’s Crash Bandicoot 4, Riot Games’ Valorant, Microsoft’s Halo franchise and is also developing its own prototype. The team is responsible for the visual design of Ori and the Blind Forest, for which it has received a BAFTA award, a D.I.C.E. Award and a Game Developers Choice Award, among others.

Black Forest Games - Destroy all Humans

Black Forest Games is a game developer focused on PC and console games. It was founded in 2012 by five passionate industry veterans. The studio made a blazing entrance with the revival of The Great Giana Sisters. As the first German gaming Kickstarter project Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams was quickly funded by the community and to this day remains one of the most successful German indie games. Since August 2017, Black Forest Games is part of THQ Nordic and their biggest internal development studio. They are currently working on remaking the 2005 cult classic Destroy All Humans! which is looking to dominate the World in 2020.

Chimera Entertainment - Angry Birds Evolution

Chimera Entertainment employs around 70 people in Munich and is the largest team within the international game developer family of remote control productions. Founded in 2006, our experienced and diverse team has developed more than 25 games across five platforms and is best known for bringing deep RPG gameplay to the Angry Birds franchise. The mobile RPG “Angry Birds Epic” is Chimera’s biggest international success to date with more than 100 million downloads worldwide. Other award-winning productions are: ”Sacred Legends”,  “Word Wonders: The Tower of Babel” and our latest game “Angry Birds Evolution” (2017). Currently, Chimera is working on two brand-new, IP-based mobile RPGs, as well as a new strategy title for PC.


CipSoft - LiteBringer

CipSoft is an independent developer and operator of online games. The company is based in Regensburg. It was created following the success of Tibia, a game which has been online since 1997 and is one of the first MMORPGs ever created. With TibiaME, CipSoft also developed the first online role-playing game for mobile phones. Litebringer is the first game ever that fully operates on the Litecoin blockchain.

FOUNDED 1999 Crytek made waves on the international market early in the new millennium with visual masterpieces like Far Cry and the Crysis series, which recently got re-released as a stunning remaster with ray tracing technology. As a game studio and technology company, Crytek is licensing its proprietary game engine to studios around the globe. Prey, Kingdom Come: Deliverance and Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem are some of the recent titles achieved with Cryengine by third-party studios. Crytek is one of the few pioneers to deliver AAA quality for the new medium VR, establishing new IPs like The Climb and Robinson: The Journey. The studio’s latest success is competitive first-person PvP bounty hunting game Hunt: Showdown which is available on Steam.


Daedalic Entertainment - The Lord of the Rings: Gollum

Daedalic Entertainment is a developer and publisher of high-quality games across all platforms. The studio offers titles ranging from Adventures to Strategy Games, Multiplayer titles and RPGs. Daedalic is known for developing games like Deponia, Edna & Harvey, Blackguards, Ken Follett’s The Pillars of the Earth and publishing titles like Shadow Tactics, Iratus: Lord of the Dead, Unrailed!, Witch It! and Barotrauma. With a total of 32 awards in the German Developers Award (including multiple accolades for ‘Studio of the Year’) and 12 German Computer Game Awards, Daedalic is a record holder for the two most prestigious game awards in Germany. In 2022 they will release The Lord of the Rings – Gollum, an action adventure on PC and the new generation of platforms.

With more than 20 completed projects since their founding, Deck13 is one of the most successful developers in Germany, making a name for itself with the role-playing game Lords of the Fallen. Fans like to call the game the German equivalent to Dark Souls. In 2019, the team released a sequel to their futuristic action game The Surge. Deck13 is headquartered in Frankfurt am Main. Also, since 2014, Deck13 has supported indie studios as a publisher under their label Deck13 Games, with the team overseeing areas like production, localisation, QA, marketing and PR. Egosoft - X4 Cradle of Humanity

Egosoft, founded in 1990, is one of Germany’s oldest independent game developers. Its team of industry veterans and dedicated game enthusiasts entered the international stage with the widely-acclaimed X-Beyond the Frontier space simulation game in 1999. EGOSOFT is now exclusively dedicated to setting new standards in the space game genre. Their latest title, X4: Foundations, was released in 2018 and marks the 20th anniversary of the game series. To date, the game has been expanded with the add-ons X4: Split Vendetta (2020) and X4: Cradle of Humanity (2021).


FDG Entertainment - Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom

The games have been offered on operator portals and were pre-installed on millions of Samsung colour phones worldwide. Flying Sheep Studios - Knights of Fortune

Flying Sheep Studios has produced over 150 cross-platform HTML5 games to date, working with well-known brands such as Lego, Barbie, or DreamWorks. We now use this experience to create Knights of Fortune, a 3-minute, 3v3 hero brawler, with an emphasis on character customisation and teamwork. As the game is built in HTML5, it will offer native-like quality, but be playable without installation and without download in any browser (mobile, desktop or tablet).

Goodgame Studios is a leading developer and publisher of gaming software, specializing in the free-to-play segment. Its focus is on mobile and browser games. The company offers games in 26 languages and has over 500 million registered users worldwide. Empire: Four Kingdoms – the world’s all-time highest grossing app produced by a German company – is part of Goodgame Studios’ portfolio. The games developer was founded in Hamburg in 2009. Apart from the head office in Germany, the company has a subsidiary in Tokyo. Headup Games - Tinkertown



Headup is a hybrid games publishing and development company providing players worldwide with the best content in the independent gaming sector. Established in 2009, it is active on all major platforms such as consoles, mobile devices and PC, and was awarded as “Best Publisher” at the German Developers Awards in 2012, 2013, 2017 and 2019. Jo-Mei - Sea of Solitude

Jo-Mei Games is an independent development studio for videogames based in Berlin. The company was founded in November 2009 and began with game development projects for clients like Ubisoft, BMW, Volkswagen, Gazprom and German Telekom. Their first video game production was an online multiplayer dungeon crawler in cooperation with browser games publisher Upjers. In July 2014 Jo-Mei got a funding package from Medienboard BerlinBrandenburg for a prototype of a game called Sea of Solitude, which was published in 2019 by Electronic Arts. An Nintendo Switch exclusive Director’s Cut of Sea of Solitude was released worldwide in March 2021 both digital and physical. Currently, the studio is working on a new, unannounced game.

Founded in 2006, Kalypso Media celebrates its 15th anniversary this year. With three inhouse-developers, Realmforge Studios (Dungeons 3), Gaming Minds Studios (Port Royale series) and newly opened Claymore Game Studios (upcoming Commandos game) as well as its additional 6 subsidiaries in Japan, the UK and the US, the German publisher is best known for brands like Tropico, Commandos, Railway Empire, Disciples and Port Royale. Throughout the years, Kalypso Media has worked to bring high-quality strategy games to all platforms with the announcement of Disciples: Liberation (with Frima Studio) only being the beginning of their journey in 2021.

The three teams at keen games, keen, keenflare und keen core, have been through some great projects. One of their greatest successes was the award-winning sandbox adventure game Portal Knights. keen games had all the ups & downs an independent game developer could face but is doing quite well currently.

King Art - Iron Harvest




Founded in 2000, KING Art is a veteran independent game studio from Bremen, Germany. Around 75 developers in three production teams create games for all major platforms. KING Art has developed several award-winning adventure, roleplaying, and turn-based strategy games as well as very successful free-to-play browser and mobile games. Their latest title, the real-time strategy game Iron Harvest, won multiple awards at the German Game Developer Awards, including “Best Game”. KING Art usually co-publishes their own games and is known for working closely with the community. KING Art has been named Germanys “Developer of the Year” 2017 and 2020.

Founded in a student flat in 2016 as Fluffy Fairy Games by a group of IT and Business students, Kolibri Games is a young games company based in Berlin, Germany. The team developed their first title Idle Miner Tycoon in just eight weeks, following their signature lean approach. In February 2020, Kolibri Games joined the Ubisoft family, an exciting evolution in the company’s growth as they continue to pursue their goal to become the most player-centric games company in the world.

Their games have cumulatively reached over 160 Million global downloads, enabling the company to grow to more than 120 dedicated engineers, artists and game designers.


Limbic Entertainment - Tropico 6

Limbic Entertainment is a hessian games studio with a multi-cultural team of 80 people. The developers’ focus lies on build-up and turn-based strategy and management games, as well as city builders for PC and consoles. Well renowned titles by Limbic Entertainment are Might & Magic Heroes VI and VII, Memories of Mars and Tropico 6.

Since January 2021, Limbic Entertainment is partnered with Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe, who now hold a minority stake in the studio. This collaboration will give Limbic Entertainment the support, capabilities and resources to further develop and grow, while working together on great new projects.


Maschinen-Mensch - Curious Expedition 2


LOCATION: Berlin          


Maschinen-Mensch is an independent game studio founded by two AAA developers who left the mainstream industry to experiment with new forms of generative storytelling and create innovative games. Their debut title Curious Expedition (a turn-based roguelike set in a reimagined version of the late 19th century) was first released in 2015 and has sold more than 250.000 copies to date. The team, which has grown to 10 people, is currently working on Curious Expedition 2 (out now on PC, coming to consoles in 2021) and Codecks, a project management tool for game developers.


Mimimi Games - Codename Suesskartoffel

Mimimi Games was founded by Dominik Abé and Johannes Roth in 2008. The independent, award-winning development studio consists of about 30 employees and is based in Munich, Germany. As a core game studio Mimimi develops for PC as well as consoles – and revived the real-time tactics genre with Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun in 2016. In June 2020 they released Desperados III, the long-awaited prequel to the beloved classic Desperados: Wanted Dead or Alive, to critical acclaim. Currently, Mimimi Games is working on their first self-published and third real-time tactics game: Codename Süßkartoffel.

Piranha Bytes are known for creating vast worlds full of adventures, unforgettable characters and exciting stories. They have acquired fame with their RPG successes “Gothic” (2001), “Gothic II” (2002), “Gothic – Night of the Raven” (2003), “Gothic 3” (2006), “Risen” (2009), “Risen 2: Dark Waters” (2012), “Risen 3: Titanlords” (2014) and “ELEX” (2017) that have sold several million copies worldwide.

remote control productions (RCP) is an independent production house representing Europe’s biggest family of game developers with 12 studios across 4 countries, a gamification unit, an in-house publisher and a digital marketing agency. Since 2005 the Munich-based company together with its teams has shipped more than 350 projects for all major platforms including Bus Simulator 18, Angry Birds Evolution, Ostwind (Windstorm), Sacred Legends, Das Boot – VR, or Pet Clinic. RCP is also one of the founding members of the Games Bavaria Munich e.V. and member of the Videospielkultur e.V.


Rockfish Games - Everspace




ROCKFISH Games is an independent games studio based in Hamburg, Germany which specializes in high-quality 3D action video games made in Unreal Engine 4 for PC and console. It was founded by mobile games veterans Michael Schade and Christian Lohr, who had spearheaded 3D mobile gaming for almost as founders and managers of Fishlabs Entertainment, best known for the space shooter series Galaxy on Fire. Their new 25-person studio is currently working on Everspace 2, an open-world space shooter RPG and sequel to the studio’s debut title which became a surprise hit on PC and console with over one million copies sold.

Everyone who competes in fierce multiplayer battles these days is probably familiar with TeamSpeak, the useful communication tool which lets users chat to each other online. The idea for it started back in 1999 in Germany when a group of friends realised that no existing software solutions were suitable for that purpose. Two years later, the first version of TeamSpeak was released, and today, both game developers and business service providers use the communication software for their products.






Tivola is an international publisher and developer of mobile games based in Hamburg. We’re focused on apps with animals. In our games, players care for cats, train dogs, ride horses. Even dance with a hippo.

Founded in 1995, Tivola started out as a publisher of computer games for children, serving mainly the German market with local brands. Creating both entertaining and educational content, Tivola has won almost every German award in the field of childrens’ software including the “Deutscher Computerspielpreis” and “Deutscher Entwicklerpreis”.

After turning to mobile games, Tivola is now reaching a much bigger and far more international audience, animal fans and game lovers from all over the world and of every age.

With more than 30 years of experience, Ubisoft Blue Byte is one of the pioneers of the German games industry. At three sites in Duesseldorf, Mainz and Berlin the teams develop high-class gaming experiences. Ubisoft Duesseldorf and Ubisoft Mainz are leading the development of Anno 1800 and The Settlers as well as the VR escape room Beyond Medusa’s Gate. As codeveloper the teams are supporting titles such as Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege and Beyond Good and Evil 2. Ubisoft Berlin is focussing on co-development, including the Far Cry series. All three studios combined form the German Ubisoft studio network.


Upjers - Zoo 2: Animal Park




upjers is a developer and publisher of online games and gaming apps. Our games cover all bases – action, strategy, and social games. We create graphically complex and high-quality games while putting our focus on getting started easily, and of course long-lasting fun. Since the foundation of our company in 2006, upjers has continuously grown. With new top hits like Zoo 2: Animal Park or long runners such as My Free Farm, we have solidified our position as developer of browser games in Germany and Europe and are set to expand our success with many fresh ideas and numerous new projects.

The team of YAGER published its first game of the same name in 2003, but is probably known to most gamers for their anti-war shooter Spec Ops: The Line from 2012, which the Berlin-based studio developed for 2K and which received widespread critical acclaim. In the meantime, YAGER worked on Dead Island 2 and the free-to-play title Dreadnought. The latter was released in October 2018. Right now the company’s focus is on the match-based first-person shooter The Cycle, which is currently running in Early Access. YAGER also has a game for mobile platforms in the works as well.
